Cancelon has closed. Dear Cancelon clients and partners, COVID-19 has dramatically impacted the travel industry. Flights have stopped, hotels were closed, and travel was put on hold. We could not predict such an event. No one could. The travel industry was the first to suffer from this global pandemic and continues to suffer still. Unfortunately, we have suffered as well. In such unprecedented times, it is impossible for Cancelon to continue to operate. That's why on March 26, 2020, Cancelon submitted to the Tel Aviv District Court an application for granting an order to open insolvency proceedings. Such order is, in essence, the Israeli equivalent of the U.S. law "Chapter 11". On March 26, 2020, the Court granted a temporary relief in accordance with Section 21(b) of the Israeli Insolvency and Economic Rehabilitation Law, and from that day on Cancelon ceased it activities and since then no payments of Cancelon are available. Cancelon has been appointed with Temporary Trustees by the court, who work tirelessly to make this transition as easy for all of you as possible. On August 5, 2020, the Court has granted a permanent order ordering the liquidation of Cancelon. According to the Israeli law and the court decision, claims of debt can be submitted to the Trustees until February 4, 2021.
